Flawless Creation

Good morning, friends! Day Eight! Do you ever think about God’s flawless creation? Some people try to deny that God created the world. But creation did not happen by chance. Chance has no power. And creation is not an accident. It is an incredible example of God’s power and sovereignty and a matter of faith.

Those who believe the world just appeared out of thin air have more faith than those who believe Scripture but what they are putting their faith in cannot save them. God’s flawless creation became flawed when man chose sin over Him, but God is our Redeemer and He is not done yet.

Bible Reading: Genesis 5-8

Verse of the day is: Genesis 5:1 “This is the book of the generations of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God.”

Word of the day is: Created.  It is the Hebrew word: בָּרָא (baw-raw).

This word means: to shape, create, or fashion.

Created In His Image

We are back in the book of Genesis and the topic of creation is near and dear to my heart. First let me say that if you have not been to the Creation Museum, you have got to go!!! It was pure worship for me to walk through that museum and see countless apologetics for creation that are indisputable. In our verse of the day, we are reminded of the creation story. God created man in the likeness of God. We were made in the image of God. And look what God did through His Son Jesus Christ in Romans 8:3, “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.”

God’s Design Is Flawless

When we lost our way and our image was broken, God restored it by coming in our image and living perfectly. He gave us His righteousness for our own. This broken world can try to steal away our identity, but friends, never forget you were created – handmade by God. There are no flaws in God’s design. And God’s creation of you was no accident. It was an intentional one-of-a-kind design.

How does knowing that God made you affect you? We can take it for granted, but knowing that God made us also reveals that He also has a purpose for us. The enemy would love to steal away that purpose by selling us a whole pack of lies. Don’t believe them.

You were made for so much more than this world.

You have Your Father’s eyes. See your identity in Christ rather than in the world’s.
