Scripture of the Day:

Genesis 50:20 (ESV)

“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”

Shame Rx of the Day:

When we see the bigger purposes of God in our lives, we can release shame and its sting from the battle scars we incurred along the way.

The Glory of God

In the end, Joseph’s story was not about Joseph at all – neither is ours. It was another God story, of God interacting with man to redeem and demonstrate love and care for His people. Joseph was available and had the calling of God on his life. Joseph likely did not think that his life would go the way it did as when he first began to get visions of how God would use him, but I am pretty sure he would not have it any other way. There would be no testimony to tell had we not walked through something bigger than ourselves and needed God’s deliverance.

When we see the bigger purposes of God in our lives, we can release shame and its sting from the battle scars we incurred along the way. God won. Big time. Through it all, God overcame our sin and shame.
