Tidying up Our Glorious Messes
We can try to make ourselves look good, can’t we? Cover up the blemishes with makeup. Hide the wrinkles. Tuck the fat. Why? If anyone found out that we are not all that, they might . . . they might what?
They might condemn us or recognize that we are a bit messier than the polished persona they thought we were. But Our appearance does not define our worth.
