Isaiah 50:7, “But the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame.”
This month we are celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the release of Shame Off You by focusing on the fruit of shame and how we can overcome shame by rooting it out of our lives and restoring honor. This week we are going to root out shame from trauma and abuse.
Living in this world for any length of time, the chances of encountering a traumatic event at some point are likely. And shame from trauma and abuse is not easily shaken—especially because we are told not to talk about it. It is in our brokenness that shame can really paralyze us, but God. Healing is possible. Listen in as Denise Pass and Michelle Nietert talk about how to shake shame from traumatic events in our lives.
