Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
This month we are talking about living whole and holy and we are closing up this series by discovering our calling—through the revealed will of God and understanding who we are in light of His word. As we seek to be whole in Christ, the impact wholeness can have on our calling is incredible. Ministering out of wholeness instead of brokenness, our mission becomes less about us and more about God. The funny thing about our brokenness, though—instead of inhibiting us, it now becomes a tool that we can use to help others identify with us and to see how God met us in our place of brokenness. Our brokenness becomes a part of our calling when we are able to share that testimony with others. What an amazing God who uses all things for our good and His glory!
