Thankful Thought of the Day:

People who choose to hope have shame removed from them.

If we did not go through the tough moments of life that make us cling to hope in the first place, we would be a people focused on things of little worth.

Trying to remove our shame with cheap substitutes, shame relief comes from a place we cannot see.

When we encounter suffering or trials in this life, hope removes our shame. It takes our circumstances and reminds us that our problems are temporary. Hope speaks grace where a stark reality tries to snuff hope out, burying us in shame and pain.

Romans 5:4-5 “Endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
