Our flesh does not enjoy troubles. Let’s be real – no one does. No one would ever volunteer for affliction, but living in a fallen world means we will face affliction in many forms.
We can tend to be embarrassed when problems arise, but we who are in Christ have a secret hiding place that I am so grateful for. We can run to our refuge and hide in the truths of God’s Word that renew our mind and give us hope.
When we feel discouraged and labeled by our affliction, our God gives us perspective and removes the shame from our affliction. Troubles are momentary, but His promises are eternal.
