Shame Rx of the Day:
All the shame endured in this life was worth it when we can see God’s redemption of it all.
It has been hard to take a break from my normal blogging, as I have been working on the book, “Shame Off You”, but writing this book has truly changed my life. Sometimes we wonder why we go through all the crazy things we do down here. Now I can look back over the ruins and healing of my life and see God’s greater purpose – so far above mine.
In the countless hours of pouring out my heart into the writing of this book, the words inspired as I hunted God’s word for answers, I now look at something more beautiful than could have ever been imagined. All the shame endured in this life was worth it when we can see God’s redemption of it all.
Still, whatever God has called us to will not be easy. We will be attacked and misunderstood. There is no shame in that. Only shame in letting others shame us in the first place.
Don’t doubt what God has called you to – even when it seems you are at a dead end and God will never use you again – He will. Or when people rise up against you and try to deter you from the work of God in your life – do it anyway. Shame off you and me.
