Some of the earliest memories we have are from someone reading us stories. Fairy tales or heroic fables gave us hope that good always overcame evil. There is something about hearing someone else’s story that gives us insight into our own story, too. Stories capture our hearts because there is a secret power in stories – they draw us in as we see the unfolding of a plan that is bigger than the character. So it is with us.
