Listening to this really helped me. I am an older mother, who adopted 2 older children. I haven’t had experience with children and this transition has been a hard adjustment. I have longed to have some people to help me; to be a sounding board, or a listening ear. Most people I meet have experience with biological children and have other friends, so I feel no one “needs” another friend – me.
I think maybe I’m not as disconnected or as bad at being a parent as I think. Hopefully the kids feel the same. I look forward to reading your book.
Thank you.
Oh, Chrissy, your feeling is mutual by a mighty army of women of God seeking to raise our children for the glory of the LORD. It is a daunting task, but our God is with and for us. Keep going, sister!
