Isaiah 64:8 (ESV)
“But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”
“Daddy issues” affect many of us. Whether it is seeking approval or acceptance from others, children who did not grow up with a father or with a dad who was uninvolved can feel like something is missing or like they are destined to fail. But God can redeem.
Join Denise and Micah as they interview their guest, Sean Teis with “God is my Dad ministries”, who shares about his ministry and how the fatherless and single moms find their identity and worth in Christ alone.

What a beautiful ministry. Thank you Lord for your servants. This is yet another subject that hits home for me. I have been a single mother in several chapters of my life as well. I have 5 children and they all have different dads. Three of them were in wedlock and 2 of them were out of wedlock. They are all grown now, but early in my “single mom” life, I would think I could raise my children myself. That my love was enough. Truth is I didn’t even know Jesus so how did I even know what love was. When my third marriage, but fifth child, was about to end I was devastated. I believe by that time (after thousands of heartbreaks) my outlook had changed and I know now Jesus was working on my heart. As a result, I received salvation, praise the Lord. I also had reconciliation with my husband. My salvation and reconciliation was 10 years ago and almost my whole family has received salvation as a result. I was revealed how Jesus felt about divorce and did not want another one of my children to live with divorced parents. I knew the struggles for my children as well as myself in that kind of lifestyle. My children have paid the price for absent fathers and a huge blended family. They tell me they are fine now and they are, but not without years of problems. I think the world of them and I am so proud of them and I see them as perfect with struggles like our heavenly Father sees us. I have a passion within to help where I can when I know of a marriage in trouble because of my past experience, the knowledge the Lord has given me and seeing the devastation to the children involved. It really breaks my heart and I know it grieves the Holy Spirit. I would encourage any couple struggling with a broken marriage, to first reach out to Jesus, He is our hope, He is truth, He has all the answers and He restores. Amen
Wow, what a testimony! Thank you so much for sharing, Tonna! God is so faithful to redeem the messes we encounter in this life, praise His name. God is using your story even now to encourage others.God bless you!
