Part of shame’s power is the power it wields. We feel we are stuck in a box with no way out. But are those feelings valid?
Our emotions are strong, but the truth behind shame is we have a choice what we do with it.
Locked behind the labels we except, we determine the outcome. Will we let shame define us, or our Savior? Will we bear a broken identity or a healed one?
The work of our redemption was completed on the cross. Will we walk in that grace or let shame rob us of such a gift.
The cycle of shame was broken by the One perfect Judge. Shame nor any person is our judge.
