Slaughtered animals and splattered blood are a vivid reminder of the cost of our sins. Our natural bent is to drift away from God. The struggle with sin is real. Sin separates us from God, but Christ bridges that chasm. The cost of that salvation was great. God did not save us so we would be worldly, but other-worldly. So God could live among us. The proof of our salvation is the presence of God, friends. May we live in such a way that people sense God’s presence and find redemption for their souls, too.
