The Power of Humility
Our flesh resists being humbled. We don’t want someone else to put us down. It is this natural reflex that does not want to believe we are less than. And yet God has already delivered us from shame. But the power of humility sets us free from prideful shame.
Behind shame is ultimately a focus on self and pride because we fear what others will think of us. But it is admitting that we are not enough is what brings us to the place of seeing our need and opens the doorway for God to restore our honor.
