Shame RX: Weakness is where I find my strength.

Don’t ever let them see you sweat. That’s what the commercial for an anti-perspirant commercial used as a slogan to appeal to our sense of wanting to hide weakness. That’s the culture around us. Power and greatness receive accolades, but weaknesses are marginalized, brushed aside as an embarrassment.

But when God gets our attention with our weaknesses is when we can access the greatest strength we have.

No wonder why the enemy likes to shame us from exposing our weaknesses. It is when we are willing to boast in our weaknesses like Paul that we overcome and find strength unparalleled.

Admitting our weaknesses means we don’t have to hide behind shame or pretend anymore. It means we stop trying to get glory and trying to dress up our decaying flesh and give God the glory for anything good in us, instead.
