“You will no longer remember the disgrace of your abandonment.”
There is something about being alone that just hurts. Especially when someone has left us and chosen sin or an alternative to being with us. Abandonment tries to claim our worth and make us feel unwanted.
Cloaked in shame, we wonder what is lacking in us that wasn’t enough to make them stay or choose a path that would prevent them from being removed from our lives.
But in Christ, the shame from being left behind is removed by Him Who chose us. More than that, He simply adores us. Shame off you, precious one. You are worth dying for and He will never leave you alone.
