The Heart of the Father
Accepting or giving correction is one of the most difficult things we endure on earth. Earthly fathers who desire to train their children in the Lord strive to model this pattern. The heart of a father desires that same faithfulness and loving- kindness. Dads would not be faithful if they did not discipline.
Scripture reminds us in Hebrews that no discipline is pleasant at the moment. I’m sure we can all recall a time or two when the correction we received was quite unpleasant. However, we see the pattern of God’s faithfulness in correcting His people throughout the Bible.
As we continue our celebration of Father’s Day, Denise pursues a second week of sharing the impact of a father’s love. Listen in as she shares two profound thoughts on how care and love are demonstrated by father’s through discipline as well as revelation from God’s Word on the topic.
